Open Mind

Open Mind is a multimedia arts project for people recovering from mental ill health. The project will develop new ways to support people using creative expression and visual methods to build new relationships and community based networks.
The project is initially running practical script development workshops and participants supported by Real Time will then plan, record, edit and distribute a short film shot entirely in Reading.
The film and the project aims to increase awareness about mental health issues locally and to show that people recovering from mental ill health can make positive, dynamic and inspiring contributions to the creative life of Reading.
